ストーリー | 18 6 月 2024 ニジェール：出稼ぎに出る男性、気候変動と格闘する女性 ニジェール南部のサルキン・ハツィ村で、山積みになったキビの袋の上に座ったサア・ムーサさんは誇らしげに微笑んでいます。今日は出荷日です。女性だけの協同組合の倉庫で、彼女は収穫物を集荷するトラックの到着を心待ちにしています。 「前からこうだったわけではありません。ここまで私たちは長い道のりを歩んできました」と、ナイジェリア国境に接するマラディ地域で彼女が代表を務める、組合員数820名のハディン・カン・マタ農業協同組合の歩みを振り返りながら彼女は語ります。「長い間、私たちは予期せず変化する気候と格闘しなければなりませんでした」 ここマラディでも、ニジェールの他の地域と同様、ムーサさんのような農家は、砂漠化と土壌劣化を加速させた気候変動の容赦ない影響に直面しています。
