WFP NEEDS STEADY DONOR FUNDING TO BOLSTER LIVES AND PEACE IN SUDAN KHARTOUM – UN World Food Programme Executive Director James Morris warned today that a shortage of steady and timely funding for food aid to Sudan risked increasing malnutrition among millions of people and threatened pacts to end conflicts in the South and western region of Darfur.

ガザ北部の二県では約30万人が今も身動きが取れなくなっており、飢きんが今から5月までの間に発生すると見込まれています。飢きんの定義となる三つの基準のうち  、一つ目の基準である急性食料不安に直面している人の割合は既に大幅に上回っており、二つ目の5歳未満の子どもの急性栄養不良の割合も基準に記録的なペースで近づいています。三つ目の基準である非外傷性の死亡率も増加していますが、戦闘が続いているためデータが限られています。 新たな報告書は、ガザ地区の人口の半分にあたる110万人が、自分たちの食料備蓄と食料を手に入れるための方法を完全に使い果たし、壊滅的飢餓（IPCフェーズ5）に陥っていると伝えました。この数は、IPCによって壊滅的な飢餓に直面していると記録された人数としては史上最も高い数値であり、わずか3ヶ月前に発表された人数の2倍です。
