TRIAGE AGAIN IN AFRICA AS WFP FORCED TO CUT RATIONS FOR MILLIONS ACROSS SUDAN KHARTOUM – The UN World Food Programme said today that a critically slow response to appeals for its emergency operation in Sudan have forced it to cut rations of pulses, sugar and salt for up to 3.5 million people immediately, to help limited stocks last longer.

SAUDI ARABIA PROVIDES FOOD AID FOR 50,000 PALESTINIAN FAMILIES RIYADH - Days after the United Nations World Food Programme warned that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are becoming destitute, Saudi Arabia has responded with a donation of US$2.6 million to purchase food for 50,000 of the worst affected families.
