映画「オーシャンズ１３」の俳優らが100万ドルをWFPの活動に寄付 ワシントンDC発―この夏、日本公開予定の映画「オーシャンズ１３」出演の俳優たちと製作者が立ち上げた人道支援団体「Not on Our Watch」が６月２７日、WFP 国連世界食糧計画を支援するアメリカのNPO「フレンズ・オブ・WFP」に対して、１００万米ドルの寄付を行った。この寄付金は、スーダン・ダルフール地方でWFPが運航する「人道支援航空サービス」に使われる。これは、国連やNGOの職員など、人道支援関係者が難民キャンプなどの活動現場へ向かう際に搭乗する飛行機を運航する航空サービスのことで、国連を代表してWFPが業務にあたっている。 北スーダン、特にダルフール地方において、現在WFPは食糧配給現場への職員の移動を、「人道支援航空サービス」が運航する飛行機に頼っている。
